Pastor Bruce was born in North Dakota but raised in Minnesota mostly, attending college at Concordia in Moorhead and seminary at Luther in St. Paul. He’s been a pastor in the Lutheran church since 1990 and here in Bloomer since 1999. He especially enjoys preaching and teaching and wrestling with the questions of life and faith. In his free time he enjoys woodworking and maintaining the family lake cabin in northern Wisconsin. He’s been married to Christa since 1982 who is a third grade teacher in Bloomer. They have four adult children, Peter (Janelle), Heather (Tom), Kendra (Dan), and Daniel and seven grandchildren.

Pastor Adam and his wife Angela moved to Bloomer in 2013 after completing their undergraduate degrees at UW-Eau Claire. Adam completed his seminary training in 2019 from the Master's Institute and was ordained at Christ Lutheran Church soon after. Angela now works as a house supervisor at the hospital in Bloomer. Adam and Angela love spending time with youth and investing in their lives, meeting new people from the community, and sharing about God's passionate love for people. They have four kids, Levi, Harriet, Arthur and Ruth who join them in living intentionally within their community and neighborhood to bring Jesus' presence.

AFFILIATION
Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ
Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC): our name pretty much says it all.
We’re not a denomination, we’re a movement. We view the local church as the place where people in the community come to get connected with God and one another.
We understand that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to ministry because different communities often have different needs, backgrounds and cultures. Rather than micromanaging what they do, we give our members the freedom to be creative in how they do ministry, working together to transform the lives of others and fulfill the Great Commission that Jesus set forth in Matthew 28.
